Here I Am!

Hello! My mom had a mother to daughter talk with me today and had some good advice on how to arrange my life around my "titles and passions". So, I am a family designer and have many artistic abilities. My passions are garage saling, store browsing (with lots of touching), painting, creating with fabric, beads, buttons, and other notions and general gazing around me (sunsets, animals, clouds etc.).  Thefore: here is my first blog of my garage saling passion.
Winter in Minnesota brings a sadness to garage salers and we have to turn our passions to estate sales and thrift stores. This summer, I tried to turn my garage sale finds into extra-special things or what I was looking for. There's lots of stuff out there that are great deals, but I have no real need for them and only desire them. My children's drawer space is overflowing with great finds. Every piece of clothing found at garage sales is stylish and beautiful, but enough is enough. What to do with a passion gone awry? I did find this past summer though, a beautiful $5 mid-century chair (I might add that it is very comfortable), a painting of 2 hunters in sepia and white along with stuffed 3D ducks ($5), and an $8 3D wooden squirrel with acorn on an orange burlap circle.
     More later...
